This month at the shop we have two more blocks for the Log Cabin Home Block of the Month.
The Crown of Thorns is red, brown and gold. Just follow your cutting directions Very Carefully! Most of the squares will be cut Twice on the Diagonal, but there are a few that are not cut at all or cut only once. So focus on accurate cutting first. Lay out the pieces following the diagram on the pattern and refer to the photos below:
Step 1 forms the center patch. Stitch it together first, then set aside while you make the four side units.
Layout all the cut pieces for each side unit.
This is Step 2 - the center patch of a side unit.
Step 3 is shown in the lower part of this photo - the brown & red stitched together. Then add the background triangles to the center patch unit.
Ready to put the unit together.
Stitch one lower unit to the center patch, then the other.
Layout the whole block and put it together. There you go! It fits together quite nicely!
