Mother Lode Riches by Country Cloth Shop for the Row by Row Experience
Have you heard about the Row by Row Experience? It's a fun, nationwide shop hop! While you are on vacation anywhere in the US check the quilt shops to see which ones are participating. The Row by Row website has a directory, state by state, to make it easy to find them.
Each participating shop makes a row block, approx 9" by 36", that expresses the theme of the year. This year it is Water! A free pattern is available from the shop to make their row block. And most shops also have put together a fabric kit for sale for their block. You can win a basket of 25 fat quarters if you make a quilt with at least 8 row patterns and are the first one to bring it to a shop.

Our block is shown above, and has been pretty popular! There are some beautiful coordinating charm packs (5" squares) in cool refreshing blues still available. And many shops also offer their personalized 'license plate'. Ours says 'Sew Hoppy', with a frog, of course!
We still have a few kits and plenty of free patterns, but don't delay if you want to get in on the fun - the Shop Hop ends on September 8 for free patterns, and then you have until October 31 to finish a quilt and find a shop to bring it to for the fat quarter prize.
